Well, that had to have been the largest and best tournament Daytona Beach had ever seen. Seriously, big thanks to all EIGHTY-THREE competitors for coming out and playing, we’re doing this for you guys (and girls), so that was a huge sign for us! You’ll continue to have tournaments like that, guaranteed!
Where to begin?
Team Paragon made a truly epic showing. As in, brought-down-the-house-single-handedly epic. HRNut went un-de-feat-ed (so nasty, you gotta say it phonetically) through sixty-three - count them - sixty-three competitors to prove himself the undisputed Smash Bros. Brawl champ! Also, Curaga (who happens to be quite the good friend of ours) made a pretty impressive showing as well, his only loss in the Winner’s Bracket coming at the hands of his teammate HRNut (at the bracket final, no less), and then proceeding to wipe out the competition in the remainder of the Loser’s Bracket, claiming the LB final, and then only getting stopped in the Grand Final for a legendary 2nd Place finish!
Our good friend Hsien-Jo rained down feline judgment with his Taokaka in BlazBlue. Pap3r.Ninj4 of The Knights fought it out to a very close 2nd Place finish, and Nobody, another B-Kin comrade, took 3rd Place in BOTH events! Absolutely phenomenal showings of skill and sportsmanship all around!
We’ve got video to post on our Official YouTube Channel, but we haven’t finished getting all of the best parts cut and edited yet, so we’ll have those up ASAP. In the meantime, stay tuned for our next event announcement…which should be hitting this space very, very, VERY soon.
